Updates from the Daufuskie Island Front Porch News
From the DI Front Porch:
The holiday issue of the Front Porch has traditionally been our “Thankfulness Issue” In truth, what this issue is about more than anything else is getting to know our neighbors and strengthening community bonds. This year, instead of asking what you are thankful for, we are varying things slightly and asking our readers to send in their response to either or both of the following questions: What is the best thing that has happened to you this year? or What is the strangest thing that has happened to you this year?
We welcome all responses and ask that you email them to us at info@daufuskieislandfrontporch.com by November 12th so that we may include them in our next issue.

Century Resorts joins Melrose as New Management Team
Melrose on the Beach is getting a brand new management team to breath new life back into a great resort. The investor/owner group released this statement. As we continue to bring Melrose Resort back to its status as one of the finest resorts on the east coast, a major objective has been to partner with an established resort operations company. With great pleasure we announce our partnership with Century Resorts, a subsidiary of Century Golf Partners located in Dallas,Texas. Century Resorts will be responsible for all operations related to Melrose Resort including golf, food and beverage, and beach club operations. We are confident this collaboration will facilitate our efforts to help Melrose reach its full potential.
The Century Resorts Melrose Management Team will be led by Gary Rosenberg. Gary is a principal at Century Resorts and has over 40 years experience in the hospitality and development business in world-class resorts. Formerly the COO of ClubCorp Resorts, Gary is no stranger to Melrose. During ClubCorp's previous ownership of the resort, one of his responsibilities was overseeing Melrose and Bloody Point. Ken Crow of Century Resorts will also be joining the Melrose Management Team. Ken has over 35 years experience in the resort and club business. During his tenure at ClubCorps Resorts, he spent three years at Daufuskie as the Director of Club Operations. Ken will assume the role of Managing Director for the Club and will maintain an office in the Melrose Island House.
Please join us in welcoming Gary, Ken, and Century Resorts to Melrose.
